Introduction

Genset are one of the UK’s largest construction site equipment manufacturers with an award winning track record for innovation and business success. Having already partnered with AMS to provide and install systems for remote site monitoring, a further requirement emerged for a cut down version of the Remote Site Manager product.

System Requirements

The system requirement came from one of Genset’s largest customers to provide a simple remote start and stop facility for a large fleet of generators. The system was to be run entirely by text message and was a step back from the all encompassing web based systems usually supplied by AMS. However, the system was intentionally restrictive and needed to meet strict budget requirements hence the text based solution was developed.
