| Matthews IntroductionMatthews Haulage are a mid sized, long established, independent haulage company that face many similar issues to other hauliers operating today. In order to remain competitive, every attention needs to be given to the company’s everyday costs. Nick Matthews had of course been approached by literally hundreds of telematics companies over the years, however he needed to be sure that all his employees would embrace the technology if the company was going to make the system pay for itself. System RequirementsMatthews requirements were clear cut from the outset. The system was largely going to be used on a daily basis for simple track and trace, with management reports to be run once a month. With little time available for staff training, the system would need to be highly user friendly making it easy to pick up and integrate into the business. To this end, a smooth rollout would be required so as not to affect the day to day business. AMS would provide full project management plus ongoing support and documentation to ensure Matthews staff “hit the ground running”. Resistance to new technology can often be a factor if momentum is lost between installation and go-live date. This simply does not happen with AMS projects. Key Business Benefits
