AMS Sign Strategic Partnership Agreement with British TelecomAsset Monitoring Solutions Ltd, are pleased to announce the signing of their partnership agreement with British Telecom on 28/08/06. This agreement places AMS as BT’s preferred supplier for vehicle telematics systems. Established in 2000, AMS was the first to market with GPRS based vehicle tracking technology and has continually strived to retain their position at the forefront of the industry. AMS has been a natural choice for the blue chip haulage and transport companies such as Norfolkline, DFDS and Carters, however this move will clearly bring AMS to many other markets where vehicle tracking is being considered more seriously than ever before. The partnership with BT has emerged from their search for a “best of breed” provider to complete the final piece of a suite of solutions offered by BT’s Field Force Automation division. FFA was formed in 1994 to address an internal BT requirement to reduce and empower their 36000 mobile engineers and has grown year on year through strategic partnership and integration. FFA is a suite of solutions available to BT customers and has clear, definable aims; to deliver excellent service to customers, cut overheads and increase productivity. Through careful consultation and project management that draws on the experiences gained from BT’s own rollout, a suite of integrated applications are available to cover scheduling and routing, workforce optimisation, mobile data transfer and of course vehicle or employee tracking. This product offering is unique and is therefore the only way that enterprises can truly manage resources, employees, data and customer expectations from a single interface. The Operations Dept can view and compare predicted versus actual events to refine business processes swiftly and effectively. Perhaps most importantly, by using this modular but integrated approach, the enterprise can drip feed in each application at a time to suit them, safe in the knowledge that each new system will scale and integrate with those previously deployed. “The BT Partnership is an exciting chapter in our company’s history and will undoubtedly take the AMS application to a new standard for vehicle telematics. This can only be good news for our existing and future customers” Stuart Budd, Managing Director AMS
